Sometimes it helps to put a name to what you're feeling before you ever say it out loud to anyone else. The three check-ins below are free, anonymous, and based on validated questionnaires used by mental health professionals. You can take any of them in a few minutes, on your own, with no email address or personal details required. Your answers stay in your own browser and are never saved or sent anywhere, unless you choose to print or save your own copy of your results at the end.
None of these are a diagnosis, and none of them are a substitute for an actual conversation with a professional who knows your full picture. But they can be a useful, honest starting point, whether you are simply curious, wondering if what you are feeling has a name, or already thinking about reaching out for support.
Depression Check-In (PHQ-9)
For understanding symptoms of low mood, one of the most widely used questionnaires of its kind.
Anxiety Check-In (GAD-7)
For understanding symptoms of anxiety and worry, in wide clinical use worldwide.
Menopause Check-In (Greene Scale)
For understanding the physical, emotional, and vasomotor symptoms of the menopause transition.
Questions People Often Ask
Why are these here?
I use these questionnaires in my own practice as a starting point for a conversation, not the end of one. Putting them here means you can check in with yourself before, between, or instead of a session, on your own time and entirely privately.
Are these the same as a diagnosis?
No. Each one reflects how strongly certain symptoms have shown up for you recently. Only a full conversation with a qualified professional, who can look at your whole picture, can determine what's actually going on for you.
How often should I take one of these?
However often feels useful to you. Some people take one once, out of curiosity or because something felt different lately. Others come back every few weeks to see whether things are easing or getting harder, which can be a helpful way to track change over time.
Do I need to see a professional to use these?
Not at all. They're designed to be taken on your own, whether or not you're already working with someone. If a result leaves you wanting to talk it through, you're welcome to book a session, with me or with someone else.
What happens to my answers?
Nothing leaves your browser. Each check-in calculates your results right there on your device, and nothing is ever saved or sent anywhere, unless you choose to print or save your own copy at the end.
Wherever any of these check-ins leave you, you do not have to sit with it alone. If it feels right, you are welcome to book a session with me directly. If you would rather read a little more first, my blog, Insights and Perspectives, is there whenever you are ready.
