Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 May 2026

This policy will be reviewed and updated periodically. Please check back regularly for any changes.

At PositiveLinks.net, I am committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your personal information secure. This policy explains how data is collected, used, and protected when you visit this website or engage with my services. I collect only the information necessary to provide appropriate care and support. Your data is never shared without your consent, except in the circumstances described below.

What data do I collect?

Depending on the service, I may collect some or all of the following: name, email address, phone number, age, relevant medical information, personal history, and session summary notes.

How is data stored?

  • Client data: I do not store personal data on paper. Any written notes are shredded after being scanned and stored on password-protected, cloud-based systems with two-step verification.

  • Email: Your email address and any emails exchanged are stored in my Gmail account, which uses encryption and two-step verification. For sensitive matters, I recommend discussing these during sessions rather than by email.

  • Laptop: My laptop is password-protected. Session notes are anonymised and stored separately from other personal data.

  • Stripe: Payments are processed through Stripe. Data stored includes your name, email address, and tokenised payment information. Full details are available at stripe.com.

  • Acuity Scheduling: Sessions are booked through Acuity Scheduling. Data stored includes your name, email address, phone number, and appointment history.

  • Zoom: Online sessions are conducted via Zoom. Please refer to zoom.com for their current privacy and security information.

Please note: While I take every reasonable measure to protect your information, electronic data transmission is never completely secure. Any transmission is at your own risk.

Limits of confidentiality

While I am committed to maintaining your confidentiality, there are specific circumstances in which I may be legally or ethically required to disclose information without your consent. These include:

  • Risk of harm: If I have reasonable grounds to believe that you or another person is at risk of serious harm, I may be required to take appropriate action, which may include contacting emergency services or relevant authorities.

  • Child protection: If I have reason to suspect that a child or young person is being abused or is in need of care and protection, I may be required to report this to the relevant authorities under Singapore law.

  • Court orders: If a court of law orders disclosure of information, I am legally required to comply.

  • Transfer of care: If you are referred to another healthcare professional as part of your ongoing care, relevant information may be shared with their direct involvement in your treatment.

Where possible and appropriate, I will inform you before any disclosure is made.

Use of AI tools

I use AI tools to assist with administrative tasks such as content creation. I do not input any identifiable client information, session content, or personal data into AI systems. Your sessions and personal information remain confidential and are not shared with AI tools.

Your rights

You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, request corrections to any inaccuracies, withdraw consent to my use of your data, and request erasure of your data, subject to any legal obligations I may have to retain it.

If you are based in Singapore and have concerns about how your data is handled, you may contact the Personal Data Protection Commission at pdpc.gov.sg.

Cross-border clients

As I serve clients across multiple countries, your data may be processed through systems that operate outside your country of residence. I take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

Supervision

As part of my professional obligations, I participate in clinical supervision with other qualified mental health professionals. Client work is discussed using first names or initials only, without identifying information.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy periodically. Continued use of this website or my services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

When you engage with any of my services, you will be required to agree to this privacy policy. This agreement forms the legal basis of consent and is part of the contract when using my services.
